What to Expect During Circumcision

After the Procedure

• Recovery: Expect swelling and bruising for a few days and the sutures dissolve after 3 weeks. The glans may feel hypersensitive for 2–3 weeks.
• Care: Keep the area dry for 24–48 hours and change the dressings regularly. Apply Vaseline to ease dryness and sensitivity. Avoid swimming for 2–3 weeks and sexual activity for 3 weeks or until the sutures dissolve.
